VANITY INK To Play Bosnia-Herzegovina This Summer
June 3, 2007Helsinki, Finland-based female-fronted hard rock act VANITY INK will play a couple of gigs in Bosnia-Herzegovina this summer. The shows will take place at Bosna Faces festival in Banovici on June 16 and in Doboj on June 17. An Italian tour will follow in November 2007 (dates and citiies to be announced soon).
VANITY INK released its full-length debut, "On Your Skin", in February via Olennainen Välittyy (with distribution through Playground Music Scandinavia).
"On Your Skin" features 11 tracks — eight brand new songs, two familiar tracks from the "Vanity is a Full-time Job" EP and one "surprise" cover version. Audio samples are available at www.myspace.com/vanityink.
Formed in late 2002 out of the ashes of Finnish "street rock" groups CAPITAL CRIME, SILVER CITY BANDITS, CRYSTAL EXTASY, WEIRDORAMA and BLUEINTHEFACE, VANITY INK sings about "living the dream and being vain 24/7," according to the band's bio. "Sometimes it's easy, sometimes it's hard but you can't fake it. It's not a lifestyle, it's a bloodtype."
